rare book festival

The prompt of this piece was to place a festival in a certain city, and work the two together to develop an original logo that visually references both the location and nature of the hypothetical event. The festival that I created is the Rare Book Festival in Cairo, Egypt. I created a logo that resembles an ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphic, and takes on the shape of a bookmark as a way to merge the two concepts. I also created a poster as a way to promote the festival and played around with the upside down books taking on the shape of pyramids.
